Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
24th day of March , 19 80 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Coucimem ers H6yt, Wei7s and Schneider
The following members were absent: Councilmember Davenport
Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-203
A RESOLUTION APPROVING CONCEPT PLANS FOP. OAKWOOD, FERNBROOK,
LA COMPTE AND PLYMOUTH JUNIOR HIGH COMMMUNITY PLAYFIELDS
WHEREAS, Bather, Ringrose, Wolfsfeld, Jarvis, Gardner,Inc., park consultants
for construction of six community playfields, has presented revised concept plans
for Oakwood, Fernbrook La Compte and Plymouth Junior High community playfields;
and
WHEREAS, the revisions in these plans hav been achieved fallowing review and
comment by Park and Recreation Advisory Commission, City staff, school district
and athletic association representatives; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the concepts and found them substantially
in conformance with city requirements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth
that it should and hereby does approve the concept plans for Oakwood, Fernbrook,
La Compte and Plymouth Junior High community playfields as submitted, together
with a staff memroandum dated March 21, 1980, and further directs that Bather,
Ringrose, Wolfsfeld, Jarvis, Gardner, Inc. proceed in the preparation of more
detailed playfield specifications eventually resulting in final plans and
specifications for bidding purposes.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
ouncilmember Hoyt and upon vote being taken thereonthe
