HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-182CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a on the 17th day of March , 19 80 The following members were present: Acting Mayor Neils, ounce members oyt and Schneider The following members were a senMayor Hunt, Councilmember Councilmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and moved its a option: RESOLUTION NO. 80-182 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID 1980 STREET SURFACING PROGRAM WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the 1980 Street Surfacing Program; and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Hardrives, Inc. Buffalo Bituminous C. S. McCrossan, Inc. N.D.H., Inc. Progressive Contractors, Inc. Total Base Bid $ 997,972.85 999,584.00 1,017,986.50 1,102,422.00 1,137,236.15 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Hardrives, Inc. of Plymouth, Minnesota in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of the 1980 Street Surfacing Program in the amount of $997,972.85. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directo to return forwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Cpuncilme�bpr Hoy , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favolir thereof: _ Acting Mayor Neils, Councilmembers Hoyt and Schneider The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
