Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth,inneso a was held on the
11th day of February , 19 80 . The following members were
present:

r-guncjlmember Schneider introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80- 131
ADOPTING POLICY ESTABLISHING MINIMUM LANDSCAPE STANDARDS AND CRITERIA FOR URBAN
DEVELOPMENT IN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the City Council directed administrative staff and Planning Advisory
Commission to develop and recommend a landscape policy containing standards and
criteria to supplement the Urban Development Plan requirements of the zoning
ordinance and to serve as a basis for eventual adoption as ordinance standards;
and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended such a policy in the form of
a fourth draft following extensive research and deliberation; and,
WHEREAS, the purpose of such policy is to establish minimum requirements and
standards relative to landscaping, buffering and screening to be implemented
concurfently with site plans approved by the City; such standards and criteria
to be used by City staff, Planning Commission and City Council in the review
and evaluation of such plans and development proposals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does adopt the policy establishing minimum
landscape standards and criteria for urban development in the City of Plymouth
as contained in Draft IV and the administrative staff report dated February 7,
1980.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vot to favor thereof: Acting Mayor Davenport. Councilmembers
Hoyt, Neils and Schneider •
The following voted against or abstains : None •
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
