HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-130CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 11thday of February , 19_BQ. The following members were present: Acting Mayor Davenport, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Schneider, The following members were absent: Mayor Hunt Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80 -130 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE 1980 PLYMOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD CLEAN-UP PROGRAM WHEREAS, the attractiveness of a community is directly related to the care and maintenance of public and private properties therein, and WHEREAS, the City and its residents have an obligation to one another to maint-in properties within the community, and WHEREAS, community clean-up efforts promote the participation of community associations, organizations and indviduals in civic affairs, and WHEREAS, such participation maintains community pride and enhances community attractiveness; NOW, THEREFORE, Be IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does vigorously support the 1980 Plymouth Neighborhood Clean-up Program, and FURTHER, that Councilmembers do hereby encourage all individuals in the community to participate in clean-up efforts through their local organizations or as individuals, and FURTHER, that the City will provide support for this community effort through the coordination of City-wide clean-up efforts and provision of necessary refuse containers. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n favor thereof; Actin Mayor Davenport. i Hoyt, Neils and Schnei er W—rollowing voted against orabstained,. None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
