Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, inneso a was e 2 on the
21st day of January , 19 80 . The fc?lowing members were
present: Ma or Hunt, Councilmembers Davenp�, Hoyt, Neils and Schneider
The following members were absent:. None
Cnug�mber Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80-69
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SEVEN 1980 MODEL POLICE PATROL VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the 1980 Central Equipment Budget contemplates the purchase of seven
police patrol vehicles; and
WHEREAS, on November 21, 1979, pursuant to State Statute, the Hennepin County
Cooperative Purchasing Group received and publicly read aloud sealed bids for
the purchase of 37 intermediate and 10 full size police patrol vehicles under
Hennepin County Contract No. 0306; and
. WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board, upon recommendation of the County Purchasing
Manager, has awarded this bid to the lowest responsible bidder, Iten Chevrolet;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does authorize the purchase of seven police
patrol vehicles from Iten Chevrolet under the conditions and specifications of
Hennepin County Contract No. 0306.
FURTHER, that the City Manager is hereby authorized to issue a purchase order
in an amount not to exceed $48,608 from Account No. 602-531-921 for the purchase
of these vehicles.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Couqcilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport,
Hoyt, Neils and Schneider
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly Pdssdd And adopted.
