Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
7th day of Janudry , 19 80 . The following members were
present: ---.Mayor Hunt. CounglJmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Schneider
The following Members were absent: None
Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 80- 14
DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION
AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT
STREET LIGHTING - 28TH PLACE CUL-DE-SAC WEST OF FERNBROOK LANE
WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Judy's and The Happy Chef requesting
installation of ornamental street lighting on 28th Place cul-de-sac west of
Fernbrook Lane;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of 28th Place cul-de-sac west of
Fernbrook Lane by the installation of ornamental street lighting, filed with
the City Council on January 7, 1980, is hereby declared to be signed by the
required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration
is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035.
2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have
waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment hearings.
3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to
report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a
preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to
whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other
improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote in favor thereof: N.ayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport,
Hoyt, and Schneider
The following voted against or abstained: Councilmember Neils
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
