HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1980-013CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 7th day of January 19 80 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers UavenLorHoyt, Neils and Schneider The following members were a sen one **f Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 80-13 DECLARING ADEQUACY OF PETITION AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF REPORT STREET LIGHTING - MISSION PONDS 2ND ADDITION WHEREAS, a petition has been received from Mission Partnership requesting installation of ornamental residential street lighting in the Mission Ponds 2nd Addition; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A certain petition requesting the improvement of Mission Ponds 2nd Addition by the installation of residential ornamental street lighting, filed with the City Council on January 7, 1980, is hereby declared to be signed by the required percentage of owners of property affected thereby. This declaration is made in conformance to Minnesota Statutes Section 429.035. 2. The petition is signed by 100% of the affected property owners and they have waived their rights to public improvement and special assessment hearings. 3. The petition is hereby referred to the City Engineer and he is instructed to report to the Council with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the proposed improvement is feasible and as to whether it should best be made as proposed or in conjunction with some other improvement and the estimated cost of the improvement as recommended. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: ayor Hunt, Councilmember Davenport, Hoyt, and Schneider The following voted against or abstained: Gouncilmem4er_Nei1s_, • Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passeed -and a—dopted..
