R ESOLUTION A PPROVING E XPENDITURE FROM DWI F ORFEITURE
R ESOURCE F UND FOR P URCHASE OF S AFETY L IGHTING FOR
C OMMUNITY S ERVICE V EHICLES
WHEREAS, Community service vehicles are used to assist with traffic direction and lane closures
when there are accidents. Many times those vehicles are parked sideways which blocks lanes; and
WHEREAS, the current vehicles are not equipped with side emergency lighting as with the patrol
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, purchase of this safety lighting is crucial to maintain safety and visibility; and
WHERAS, the cost to purchase the safety lighting is approximately $3,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the cost to purchase safety lighting for community service vehicles from the DWI
Expenditure Resource Fund is approved.
APPROVED by the City Council on this 26th day of January, 2021.
