Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a on the

RESOLUTION NO. 79-812
AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF CITY OF PLYMOUTH PROPOSED YEAR VI COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
BLOCK GRANT ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAM AMOUNTS TO"THE PLANNING AREA CITIZEN ADVISORY
COMMITTEE IN ACCORD WITH THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT OF 1974
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has executed a joint powers agreement with Hennepin
County thereby agreeing to participate in a Grant Application under the Urban County
designation provided for in the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and,
WHEREAS, a grant application is being prepared requesting funds to undertake a commun-
ity development program, including appropriate citizen participation, goal establish-
ment and implementation plans and procedures; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on November 21, 1979,
regarding the expenditure of the Year VI funds for the City of Plymouth and has
recommended several projects for expenditure of said funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Planning Commiss-
ion and of the City Staff regarding the proposed activities and program amounts for
Year VI; and,
WHEREAS, current procedural regulations require that the proposed activities and
grant amounts be referred to the designated Planning Area Citizen Advisory Committee
established by Hennepin County for review and comment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Plymouth,
Minnesota, that it should and hereby does direct the administrative staff to for-
ward to the Planning Area Citizen Advisory Committee the following activities and
respective proposed dollar amounts for the Year VI entitlement period:
ACTIVITY PROGRAM AMOUNT
Direct Benefit Program for Low/Moderate
Income Housing Assistance -- Land Write-down $95,000
2. Housing Rehabilitation Program $35,000
TOTAL $130,000
