HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-776CITY OF PLYMOUTH Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION 79 - 776 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 73-306 RELATING TO CITY POLICY REGARDING THE ISSUANCE OF INTOXICATING ON -SALE LIQUOR LICENSE WHEREAS, Resolution 73-306 adopted a City Council policy for the issuance of On - Sale Intoxicating Liquor Licenses within the City of Plymouth, and WHEREAS, since the passage of that Resolution, it has become apparent that various amendments in the policy would be benificial in clarifying and expediting the license issuing process, and WHEREAS, in a staff report dated November 16, 1979, amendments to the 1973 policy are recommended including: 1. Amendment to paragraph 2 which will require that the licensee provide anticipated volume of food to liquor, type of entertainment provided, and any other relevant information requested by the Clerk or Council in addition to the previously required floor plans. 2. That paragraph 3 of the policy be amended to provide for automatic annual up- date of the minimum market value. Such up -dates shall be based upon a ratio between current and previous year Boeckh Building Index (October 1979 Index, 906.8) for brick and steel commercial buildings. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does amend the 1979 policy relating to the issuance of On -Sale Intoxicating Liquor License as shown herein for immediate implementation. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Acting Mayor, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt and Neils The following voted against ora stained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passe.d and adopted.
