HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-716CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 22nd day of October , 1979 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following members were a sen : None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-716 RESOLUTION AWARDING NEIGHBORHOOD PARK CONTRACT WHEREAS, the 1979 Parks Capital IMprovement Program contemplates the develop- ment of Shiloh and Gleanloch Neighborhood Parks, and WHEREAS, Public Information meetings have been held by the Park and Recreation Advisory Commission to solicit ideas and suggestions, and WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized the advertisement and receipt of bids, and WHEREAS, bids have been received on October 18, 1979 from five firms, and WHEREAS, the staff recommends that the contract for Shiloh and Gleanloch Neigh- borhood Parks be awarded to London Construction Co. in the amount of $85,086, and WHEREAS, the consultant fees will increase from $7,940 to $8,734; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that: 1. The Neighborhood Parks plans and specifications be approved and 2. The base $85,086 bid from London Construction Company in the amount of $85,086 for the construction of Shiloh and Gleanloch Neighoorhood Parks be accepted and 3. The contract with the consulting firm (David A. Kirscht and Associates) be revised to reflect the increase from $7,940 to $8,734 and 4. That the City Attorney be authorized to prepare the appropriate contract documents and 5. That the City Manager be authorized to execute the appropriate contract documents with Lon cn Construction Co. and 6. That $85 ,3 8 0 be approp.iated from the Neighborhood Parks Account to the Parks Construction Account of 401-401-810-930 and 401-401-810-931
