Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-712
REQUESTING HENNEPIN COUNTY TO SERVE AS GRANT ADMINISTRATING AGENCY
FOR THE MINNESOTA HOUSING FINANCE AGENCY HOME IMPROVEMENT GRANT FUNDS
(PHASE IV) FOR IMPLEMENTATION WITHIN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, Minnesota desires to assist low income
homeowners in making repairs to their homes for the purpose of correcting
defects affecting directly the safety, habitability, or energy usage of
the property; and
WHEREAS, the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency has funds to be used for such
purposes and has entered into a contract with Hennepin County to administer
these Home Improvement Grant Program funds; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County will therefore serve as grant administrative agency
for Phase IV of the Home Improvement Grant Program;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA to enter into a contract with Hennepin County for Phase IV grant
funding from the Minnesota Housing Finance Agency as per the attached contract.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
