The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, GouncIlmembers Uayen ort Hot Neils and Spaeth The following mem ers were a sen : _None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its a option: RESOLUTION NO. 79-688 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING ^ID PROJECT NO. 802 LARCH LANE STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Larch Lane Street Improvements (Project No. 802); and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Jerome Begin Contracting Co. $424,997.60 C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 478,004.00 Shafer Contracting Co. 490,589.00 Minn -Kota Excavating Inc. 505,597.55 Progressive Contractors, Inc. 523,364.30 Hardrives, Inc. 537,523.95 Buffalo Bituminous 560,373.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Jerome Begin Contracting is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Jerome Begin Contracting of Plymouth, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of the Larch Lane Street Improvements (Project No. 802) in the amount of $424,997.60. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by' CqgncjlmPmhPr 8, and upon vote being taken thereon, the 0 owing vote 0 avor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: Non Whereupon the Resolution was declared dulypas�and a—dop�
