R ESOLUTION N O. 2021-020
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT N O. 2 AND F INAL FOR THE
2019 P EDESTRIAN R AMP AND C ONCRETE R EPLACEMENT P ROJECT (ST199004)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and Standard Sidewalk, Inc. as the contractor,
have entered into an agreement for the 2019 Pedestrian Ramp and Concrete Replacement Project. Said
agreement was approved by the City Council on July 24, 2018; and
WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and approval of the final request
for payment.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. That the original contract amount between the owner and contractor was $308,750.00, the
revised contract amount was $360,950.00, and the value of the work to date is $369,280.00 and
is approved. The final contract amount is $8,330.00, or 2.3% above the revised contract amount.
2. That the work performed by the contractor for the 2019 Pedestrian Ramp and Concrete
Replacement Project and certified to the Council by the Engineer as acceptable, being the same,
is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all
legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment.
3. Request for Payment No. 2 and Final in the amount of $18,464.00 to Standard Sidewalk, Inc. for
the 2019 Pedestrian Ramp and Concrete Replacement Project is approved and the Finance
Manager is authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith.
4. The total project cost was $387,744 which includes construction ($369,280.00) and 5% for
design and administration ($18,464.00).
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the funding for this project shall come from the Street
Reconstruction Fund in the amount of $387,744.00.
