HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-651CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth,innerwas held -on the lst day of October , 19 79 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt and Neils The following members were absen : Councilmember Scaeth trrw Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: PESOLUTION NO. 79-651 APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR NIAGARA LANE BIKEWAY PROJECT 847 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has applied to the Commissioner of Transportation for a grant from the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Act, Chapter 421 for the development of a bikeway (Termini sections are: begins CSAH 6, ends MNTH 55) and located within Niagara Lane road right-of-way; and WHEREAS, the amount of the grant has been determined to be $48,382.27, which is an amount $5,000.00 greater than that approved by Resolution 79-284, by reason of the lowest responsible bid, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOl1TH, MINNESOTA, that the City of Plymouth does hereby affirm that any cost of the bikeway in excess of the grant will be the responsibility of the City of Plymouth, and that any grant monies appropriated for the bikeway but not required, based on the final estimate, shall be returned to the Minnesota Outdoor Recreation Fund, Minnesota Department of Transportation. The Mayor is hereby authorized to sign and execute on behalf of the City of Plymouth (County of Hennepin) Grant Agreement and Supplemental Grant Agreement Number 27-3105-01 with the State of Minnesota, a copy of which is attached hereto. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by' Councilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the 7675—wing vote in favor thereof ayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt and Neils The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
