Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
24th day of September , 1979 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, ro uncilmembers Daven ort Hot Neils and Spaeth

Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
move its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-622
ACCEPTING COUNTY ROAD 15 BIKEWAY REPORT AND AUTHORIZING STAFF
TO PREPARE A GRANTS APPLICATION
WHEREAS, the City Council has authorized a feasibility cost study be prepared;
and
WHEREAS, the most feasible option for development includes developing a detached
path on County Road 15 from Vicksburg Lane to Interstate 494 and two eight -foot
bike lanes on County Road 15 from Interstate 494 to County Road 73; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Department of Transportation has indicated a
preliminary willingness to cost share the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that:
1. The project report on County Road 15 bikeway, Zachary Lane to I-494,
and cost revisions to Project 708 be accepted.
2. Staff be directed to prepare the appropriate grants application and
submit to the appropriate agency for funding.
3. The Trail Plan be revised to reflect the change from a bike path to
a bike lane for the segment from Interstate 494 to County Road 73.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by*
Qyncilmember Hoyt , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following vote in favor thereof: Mavor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport.

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
