The following members were present: -Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following members were absent: None M nwil plpr Uaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its a adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-613 DESIGNATING SEPTEMBER 30 -OCTOBER 6 AS CHILDREN'S WEEK IN PLYMOUTH WHEREAS, 1979 has been designated as the International Year of the Child; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth recognizes the children of this community as its greatest resource; and WHEREAS, one of the goals of the City Council is to provide a responsive system of government which addresses the needs of the youth of this com- munity; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the week of September 30th through October 6th be designated as Children's Week. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Plymouth, in its governmental capacity, encourage all citizens in the community to partake in programs which would aid in the betterment of youth in the community. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by' rn''�] AXt H. and upon vote being taken thereon, the Ting voted Rn avor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth .
