HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-600CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a on the 17th day of September , 19 79 , The following members were present: -'-Mayor Hunt, CouncilmemDers avenport, Neils and Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilmember Hoyt Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-600 CALLING HEARING ON PROPOSED ASSESSMENT WEED ERADICATION AND DESTRUCTION CHARGES WHEREAS, be a Resolution passed by the City Council on September 17, 1979, the City Clerk was directed to prepare a proposed assessment for the destruction and eradication of noxious weeds on certain lands within the City as provided by law, and WHEREAS, the Clerk has notified the Council that such proposed assessment has been completed and filed in the office of the City Clerk for public inspection; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. A hearing shall be held on the 9th day of October, 1979 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota at 7:30 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such improvement will be given an opportunity to be heard thereon with reference to such assessment. 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total cost of the improvement. The Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to the owner of each p-rcel described in the assessment roll. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the fo wing voted in favor t ereof-i Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Neils and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: I Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly—pa sea and adopted,
