Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a re4ular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota wasF-don the
17th day of September 1979 - The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Neils and Spaeth
The following members were absent: Councilmember Hovt
Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79- 587
RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING
PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT
PROJECT 810 - ZACHARY LANE WATERMAIN
WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of:
Zachary Lane Trunk Watermain from 53rd Avenue south to approximately
1600' north of County Road 9;
and the contract price for such improvement is $ 144,307.00, and the expenses
incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to
$ 28,471.00 , so the toal cost of the improvement will be $ 172,778.00; and of
this cost the City will pay $167,444.00 as its share of the cost;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby
declared to be $ 5,334.00
2. It is further determined that the following charges for water and
trunk main, pumping and storage facilities for the above referenced
project shall be applied to the existing land use zoning.
Water Area
Residential: $300.00 per 1/2 acre lot or $600.00 per acre
3. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improve-
ment against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the
district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by
law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of
the Clerk for public inspection.
4. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify
the Council thereof.
