HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-585CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 17th day of September , 1979 . The following members were present: —Mayor Hunt, ouncilmemmhers DaveneorY, Neils and Spaeth The following members were absent: ounce ImeMber HOUT Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-585 RESOLUTION DECLARING COST TO BE ASSESSED AND ORDERING PREPARATION OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT PROJECT 803 & 815 - LANCASTER LANE OVERLAY AND TURN LANES WHEREAS, a contract has been let for the improvement of: Lancaster Lane from 36th Avenue North to CSAH 9 by the installation of bituminous street overlay together with the replacement of damaged concrete curb and gutter, and median changes with turn lanes at the entrance to the Four Seasons Shopping Center; and the contract price for such improvement is $ 99,154.00 , and the expenses incurred or to be incurred in the making of said improvement amount to $ 19.663.00 , so that the total cost of the improvement will be $ 118,817.00; and of this cost the City will pay $ 0.00 as its share of the cost; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The cost of such improvement to be specially assessed is hereby declared to be $ 118.817.00 . 2. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the City Engineer shall forthwith calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed for such improvement against every assessable lot, piece or parcel of land within the district affected, without regard to cash valuation, as provided by law, and shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the Clerk for public inspection. 3. The Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify the Council thereof.
