Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, are ular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, innesota was held on the
17th day of September 19 79 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Neils and Spaeth
The following members were absent: Councilmember Hoyt
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-583
DESIGNATING RIDGEMOUNT AVENUE BICYCLE LANES AND SPEED LIMIT
WHEREAS, the Cities of Plymouth and Minnetonka have jointly undertaken the
widening of Ridgemount Avenue providing for the construction of bicycle lanes;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council may designate bicycle lanes on any roadway in its
City and thereafter regulate the speed of traffic on such roadways;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNEOSTA designates the northerly four Feet of Ridgemount Avenue
between CSAH 61 and CSAH 73 as a bicycle lane.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the speed limit along Ridgemount Avenue between
CSAH 61 and CSAH 73 be designated at 25 m.p.h.
