HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-581CITY OF PLYMOM Pursuant to die call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on the 17th day of September , 19 79. The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, ounct members Davenport, Neils and Spaeth TRe following members were absent: Counci member Hoyt a�a Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-581 A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES FOR THE SUPPORT OF STORM SEWER RESERVE FUNDS BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. By ordinances duly enacted pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 444.16 to 444.21, and Laws 1979, Chapter 303, Section 15 (collectively the "Act") the City has created the following Storm Sewer Improvement Tax Districts (the "Districts") and Storm Sewer Reserve Funds (the "Funds") for the sup- port thereof. (a) Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District No. 1 and Storm Sewer Reserve Fund - District No. 1 (Bassett Creek Watershed). (b) Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District No. 2 and Storm Sewer Reserve Fund - District No. 2 (Minnehaha Watershed). (c) Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District No. 3 and Storm Sewer Reserve Fund - District No. 3 (Elm Creek Watershed). (d) Storm Sewer Improvement Tax District No. 4 and Storm Sewer Reserve Fund - District No. 4 (Shingle Creel '�Aatershed). 2. The City Council finds and determines that it is necessary for the sound financial management of the City, the carrying out of the capital improve- ment programs for the Districts, and the proper support of the Funds to levy taxes for the Funds as authorized by the Act. 3. There is hereby levied, for collection in the year 1980, on all of the taxable property in each respective District the following amounts as indicated in the table below: Reserve Fund No. 1 No. 2 No. 3 No. 4 Resolution 1179-581 Page 2 The taxes herein levied shall in no event exceed the rate of 1 mill on all of the taxable valuation of property in each respective District. 4. The proceeds of the taxes herein levied shall be deposited to the respective Funds and used only as -provided in the ordinance creating the Fund and in accordance with the Act. 5. The City Clerk is authorized and directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Finance Director of Hennepin County prior to October 10, 1979.
