Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a on the
10th day of September , 1979 . The following members were
Drese`nt: Mayor Hunf,Counn cilmem errs Davenport. Hovt. Neils and Spaeth
following members were
Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-571
ACCEPTING PROPOSAL AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR PUBLIC
INFORMATION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and the City Council
deem it necessary to undertake the development and implementation of a Public
Information Program to increase citizen awareness and support for Plymouth
Parks and Recreation, and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council has authorized an expenditure of up to
$5,000 for the Public Information Program, and
WHEREAS, proposals have been solicited from agencies specializing in Public
Information Programs,and
WHEREAS, PRAC and staff has interviewed three agencies and recommend that
the Friendship Production agency be employed to prepare the Public Information
Program for the City of Plymouth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that:
1. The Friendship Production Agency, Moorhead, Minnesota be contracted
to prepare the Public Information Program for an amount not to
exceed $4,395.
2. Payments shall be made from the General Fund Contingency Account.
3. The City Attorney be directed to prepare a contract for execution
by the Friendship Production agency and the City Manager.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
and upon vote being taken thereon, the
