The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following members were a sen None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and coved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79- 550 AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER. TO EXECUTE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH CITY OF GOLDEN VALLEY FOR BASSETT CREEK FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT NO. 1 WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission has ordered the Bassett Creek Improvement Project No. 1, and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is a member of the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission, and WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission has designated the City of Golden Valley to be the contracting agency for said project, and WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes Section 471.59 and Chapter 429 and 475 provide that two or more governmental units may enter into a cooperative agreement, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the attached "Agreement Entered into Pursuant to Provisions of the Joint Powers Agrement Establishing the Bassett Creek Flood Control Commission for Construction of Work within the Cities of Golden Valley and Crystal, Minnesota" with the City of Golden Valley for Bassett Creek Improvement Project No. l after the following amendment is made to Section 5 on Page 8. This section shall be revised to provide that the City of Plymouth will make monthly payments upon receipt of a statement from the City of Golden Valley that the stated amount will be paid to the contractor within the next ten days.
