HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-537CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, ameeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was e d on the 4th day of September , 19 79• The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilmember Davenport Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 537 AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE NOT TO EXCEED $7,500 TO THE PLYMOUTH HISTORICAL SOCIETY FOR RENOVATION OF THE OLD TOWN HALL BUILDING WHEREAS, the Plymouth Histnrical Society has requested funding to aid in the renovation of the old TOWN Hall building, and WHEREAS, the Plymouth Historical Society has shown a good faith effort in attempting to undertake this project through available funding sources and in- kind services, and WHEREAS, renovation of the TOWN Hall building is of historical and cultural significance for the entire Plymouth community, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does authorize an expenditure not to exceed $7,500 to the Plymouth Historical Society from the 1979 Contingency Account Fund No. 101-190-899 to begin renovation to the TOWN Hall Building, including: reroofing $2,000 siding 1,500 exterior painting 1,500 heating system w/humidifier 2,500 $77M The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vo n favor t ereo ; Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth ine to 5 owing voted against or anstained; Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly
