HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-525Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was- on the 27th day of _ August , 19 79 . The following members were present: Mayor HuntCouncilmembers Davenport Hoyt and Neils The following members were a sent: Councilmember Spaeth Councilmember Hoyt introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79- 525 ESTABLISHING POLICY REGARDING TRANSITION STANDARDS FOR RPUD IN AREAS GUIDED LA -1. WHEREAS, Section 9 of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance provides for planned unit developments in the various residential zoning districts; and, WHEREAS, said residential planned unit developments may provide for a variety of housing types in any of the basic residential zoning districts; and, WHEREAS, Section 9 of the Plymouth Zoning Ordinance requires that such developments be planned in such a manner to provide for an acceptable transition between different land uses; and, WHEREAS, the Planning Commission and City Council have reviewed the condition where a proposed planned unit development in an area guided LA -1 (low density residential) contains housing types other than single family detached dwellings, and have determined that specific standards are necessary and desired with respect to transition of such planned unit developments; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does establish as policy the transition standards for residential planned unit developments in areas guided LA -1 contained in the August 17, 1979 staff report; FURTHER, said policy sahll be implemented and enforced as part of Section 9 of the Zoning Ordinance.
