The following members were present: -Mayor Hunt Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyl and Neils The following members were -absent: fnuncilmamhpr Cnaath C upcilmem4er Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its a option: RESOLUTION NO. 79-461 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT N0, 906 AND 919 AMERIKS AND MEDICINE RIDGE ADDITION UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of utility and street improvements for the Ameriks and Medicine Ridge Addition (Project No. 906 and 919); and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Com an C. W. Houle, Inc. Nodland Associates, Inc. Northdale Construction Co. Mueller Pipeliners, Inc. G. L. Contracting Co. C. S. McCrossan, Inc. Progressive Contractors, Inc. Total Base Bid $232,414.50 279,386.00 281,898.50 284,351.89 309,549.50 315,507.00 343,297.45 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that C. W. Houle, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: I. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with C. W. Houle, Inc. in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of utility and street improvements for the Ameriks and Medicine Ridge Addition (Project No. 906 and 919) in the amount of $232,414.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed.
