HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-427CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, aspecial meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 30th day of July , 19 79 The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmem ers avenporlr; Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following members were absent: None Cnuncilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and move�its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-427 AUTHORIZING MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE CONSTRUCTION COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR PROJECT NO. 934 COUNTY ROAD 9 AND ZACHARY LANE WHEREAS, the County and the City for some time have been negotiating to bring about improvement to the intersection of County Road 9 and Zachary Lane (Project No. 934) as shown on the County Engineer's plan for County Project No. 7910, which improvement contemplates and includes grading, bituminous base, bituminous surfacing, drainage, temporary traffic signal system and other related improvement, and WHEREAS, the above described project lies within the corporate limits of the City of Plymouth, and WHEREAS, the County Engineer has heretofore prepared an engineer's estimate of quantities and unit prices of materials and labor for the above described project and an estimate of the total cost for contract work and Hennepin County Forces in the sum of $94,552.00, and WHEREAS, it is contemplated that said work be carried out by the County under the provision of M.S. Section 162.17, Subdivision 1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to execute the attached "Construction Cooperative Agreement" with Hennepin County for said project.
