HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-337Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-337 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 908 MEDINA ROAD UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the Medina Road utility improvements (Project No. 908); and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid Nodland Associates, Inc. $ 328,479.50 North Central Underground, Inc. 363,559.50 C. W. Houle, Inc. 377,150.50 Northdale Construction Co. 385,985.95 Progressive Contractors, Inc. 399,795.45 G. L. Contracting Co. 401,030.25 C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 427,365.00 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Nodland Associates, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract with Nodland Associates, Inc. of Alexandria, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of the Medina Road Utility Improvements (Project No. 908) in the amount of $328,479.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by' Co unci member Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the �o1Tow ng vote in,favor there o : Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Davenport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth The following voted against or abstained: None Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
