Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 326
AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF "NO PARKING"SIGNS ON
(HIGHWAY 55 FRONTAGE ROAD FROM WEST MEDICINE LAKE
EAST TO ITS TERMINATION AT HIGHWAY 55)
WHEREAS, traffic congestion is occurring in the east and westbound lanes of
Highway 55 Frontage Road from West Medicine Lake East to its termination
at Highway 55; and
WHEREAS, residents of this area have expressed concern regarding pedestrian
safety problems caused by such unrestricted parking; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that said congestion has restricted usage of
the street and increased the potential for traffic hazard in this area:
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does authorize the installation
of "NO PARKING" signs on both east and westbound lanes of Highway 55 Frontage
Road from West Medicine Lake East to its Termination at Highway 55 effective
August 1, 1979, and FURTHER that the residents of the building be so notified
prior to installation.
