HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-325Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, M� nn esota was held on tFe 18th day of June , 19 79. The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Daveport, Hoyt, Neils and Spaeth . The following members were absent: None Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION n79-325 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STAFF TO EXPLORE SUPPLEMENT TO JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF PLAYGROUND APPARATUS AT THE WAYZATA SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATION SITE. WHEREAS, the adopted 1979 Parks C.I.P. reflects the installation of a play apparatus unit in Walking Neighborhood #49; and, WHEREAS, the Wayzata School District may have land available for installation of a play apparatus unit; and, WHEREAS, the installation of the play apparatus unit would serve Plymouth residents in Walking Neighborhood #46 and Walking Neighborhood #49; and, WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has entered into a Joint Powers Agreement with the Wayzata School District; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that: 1. Staff be directed to pursue the installation of a play apparatus structure on Wayzata School District Administration site south of the existing building in the general location of the former hockey rink and that the installation of such a unit would be governed by conditions stipulated in a formal supplement to the existing Joint Powers Agreement between the Wayzata School District and the City of Plymouth; and, 2. The supplement to the existing Joint Powers Agreement must be approved by the City Council; and, 3. Apparatus selected for installation be approved by Council prior to bidding and installation.
