HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-282CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, MinnesotawashelFon the 21st day of May , 1979 The following memhers were present: Ma vor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were a sent: None Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Pesolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-282 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID PROJECT NO. 905, 702 AND 909 FERNBROOK LANE, 23RD AVE. AND 26TH AVE. WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Fernbrook Lane, 23rd Ave. and 26th Ave. (Project No. 905, 702 and 909); and WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Company Total Bid C. S. McCrossan, Inc. $ 909,952.25 Progressive Contractors, Inc. 934,499.75 Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. 948,480.05 Hardrives, Inc. 1,035,939.70 AND, WHEREAS, it appears that C. S. McCrossan, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the attached contract, after concurrence is received from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, with C. S. McCrossan, Inc. of Osseo, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construction of Fernbrook Lane, 23rd Ave. and 26th Ave. (Project No. 905, 702 and 909 in the amount of $909,952.25. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the sucr-::;f,.0 bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a cont ias been signed. The motion for t;e adoptir!n of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Seihoid , and upon vote being taken thereon, the 0 owing vote in avowt�of:— —Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils Seibold and Spaeth ine following voted against or abstained: Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly
