Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
21st day of Ma 1979 . The following memhers were
present: -Mayor Hunt, Counci mem ers oyt, 1Teifs, Seibold and Spaeth
The following mem ers were a sent: one
Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Pesolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-279
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID
PROJECT NO. 853 AND 911
VICKSBURG LANE AND CO. RD. 9 STREET IMPROVEMENTS - CONTRACT II
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of the
Vicksburg Lane and Co. Rd. 9 Street Improvements - Contract II (Project 853 and
911); and
WHEREAS, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the
following bids were received complying with the advertisement:

Progressive Contractors, Inc. $1,012,259.00
C. S. McCrossan, Inc. 1,048,320.00
Hardrives, Inc. 1,059,362.25
Buffalo Bituminous, Inc. 1,140,032.00
AND, WHEREAS, it appears that Progressive Contractors, Inc. is the lowest
responsible bidder;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into
the attached contract, after concurrence is received from the Minnesota
Department of Transportation, with Progressive Contractors, Inc. of
Osseo, Minnesota, in the name of the City of Plymouth, for the construc-
tion of Vicksburg Lane and Co. Rd. 9 Street Improvements - Contract II
(Contract No. 853 and 911) in the amount of $1,012,259.00.
2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to
all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits
of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained
until a contract has been signed.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils and upon vote being taken thereon the
following vote in avor t ereo ayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils,
Seibold and Spaeth
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
