Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
move its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-267
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF PROJECT REPORT COUNTY ROAD 15 EXTENDING
FROM 494 TO COUNTY ROAD 73 FOR THE PURPOSE OF BIKE PATH CONSTRUCTION
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has an adopted Trail System Plan identifying
County Road 15 as a local trail; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable per an engineering project report to analyze
the feasibility of a bike path construction project along County Road 15;
WHEREAS, Hennepin County Transportation Department may have funds available
for bike path construction; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission supports staff's
recommendation for the development of the project report and application to
Hennepin County Transportation Department for the development of County Road 15
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that funds be appropriated from the park dedication fund, trails
account to the construction account 401-401-810-708 County Road 15 trails in
the amount of $3,500 and 2) that staff be directed to contract with Bonestroo,
Rosene, Anderlik and Associates for the preparation of said report, and 3)
return to Council with the report prior to submitting any grant request to
Hennepin County Transportation Department.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
