HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-237CTR' OF PLYMOM Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota, was held on a 23rd day of April 19 79. The following members were present: ARR were absent, one RRR introduced the following Resolution and moved Its adoption: RRR RESOLUTION NO. 79- 237 APPROVING ANNEXATION OF PROPERTY (PLAT 44660, PARCEL 5503, PIN 31-118-22-43-009) TO THE CITY OF WAYZATA (79028) WHEREAS, Derrick 'Land Company has requested annexation of an approximate three acre parcel in the southwest corner of Plymouth west of Queensland Lane and north of the Luce Line Trail described as the John G. Forrester property in conjunction with a preliminary plat proposed before the City of Wayzata, and WHEREAS, the City of Wayzata has reviewed in conjunction with said preliminary plat the proposed annexation and has stipulated that said annexation be approved prior to approval of the final plat, and WHEREAS, the proposed plat is consistent with the land use guiding for single family residential homes in the City of Plymouth, and WHEREAS, development of said parcel in the City of Plymouth is most feasible ac suggested by the proposed preliminary plat. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY R'SOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does make the following determination: That those certain premises situated in the State of Minnesota, County of Hennepin, described as follows to wit: That part of Lot 9, Wayzata Farmsteads, which lies westerly of a line from a point in the northerly line of said Lot 9, distant 329.00 feet easterly of the northwest corner thereof to a point in the south line of said Lot 9 distant 373.72 feet east of the southwest corner thereof; further described as Plat 44660, Parcel 5503, P.I.N. 31-118-22-43-009. That the City Council finds that the above described property now located in the City of.Plymouth abuts the City of Wayzata and is properly subject to concurrent detachment and annexation by concurrent resolutions of the two councils of the two municipalities pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 414.061. It is the desire of the City of Plymouth that the above described property be concurrently detached from the City of Plymouth and annexed to the City of Wayzata; Resolution N 79-237 Page 2 That this resolution is being adopted concurrently with a similar reso- lution by the City Council of the City of Wayzata approving such detach- ment and annexation as provided above; Let the above described concurrent detachment and annexation be effective upon the issuance of the board's order or at such later date as provided by the board in its order. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Hoyt and upon vote being taken thereon, the fol owing voted in favor ereo Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt ,rr—Net, Seibold and Spaeth The iuI-Lowing voted against or abstained-., Np ne Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. a*e
