HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2009-279CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2009-279 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE EXTENSION TO THE TRANSIT SERVICES AGREEMENT WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statue Section 473.338; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth receives state funding for transit services through the Metropolitan Council; and WHEREAS, Laidlaw Transit Services, Inc. (d.b.a. Morley Bus, National School Bus, and currently d.b.a. First Transit Services, Inc.) has been providing quality contracted services for Plymouth Metrolink since 1989; and WHEREAS, the current contract between the City of Plymouth and Laidlaw Transit Services expires December 3, 2009; and WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council has determined it is in the best interest of the city to approve extending the current contract for two years. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: Hereby approve the extension of the agreement for transit services between the City of Plymouth and Laidlaw Transit Services for two years to expire December 3, 2011.
