Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a don t e

Councils*mber Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 193
AWARDING BID FOR SEVEN 1979 INTERMEDIATE MODEL SQUAD CARS
TO HOPKINS DODGE
WHEREAS, pursuant to State Statute specifications were prepared and bids solicited
for the purchase of seven intermediate size police patrol cars, and
WHEREAS, in accordance with public advertisement, bids were opened on March 26, 1979,
and
WHEREAS, the following bids were submitted:
Superior Ford Hopkins Dodge Suburban Chevrolet
LTD ASPEN MALIBU
Base Bid (7 Vehicles) 546,774.00 $41,580.00 $45,822.00
Options: A.M. Radio 434.00 450.00 469.00
Bucket Seats 1,274.00 1,260.00 980.00
Net Bid Proposal $48,482.00 $43,330.00 $47,271.00
WHEREAS, after a thorough analysis, the bid of Hopkins Dodge for seven 1979 model
Dodge Aspens do conform to the City specifications therefore;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does:
1. Award bid for the purchase of seven 1979 police patrol vehciles to Hopkins
Dodge in the amount of S43.330.
2. That the City Manager be directed to enter into a contract with Hopkins Dodge
for the purchase of these vehicles.
3. That the City Manager be directed to proceed to dispose of six current City
vehicles through public sale, private negotiations or other appropriate means
to provide a maximum return on these vehicles to the City.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon. the
following vote n favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils
and Spaeth ,

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted,
