Pursuant to dua call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
26th day of March 19 79. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils and Seibold
The following mem ers were absent: Louncilmember pae
Councilmember Neils introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79-173
AUTHORIZING THE PUMPING OF PARKERS LAKE
WHEREAS, the above average rainfall accumulated over the past year and the heavy
snowfall have created an emergency condition on Parkers Lake within the City of
Plymouth;
WHEREAS, because of these high water levels the City Council deems it appropriate
to declare an emergency condition exists and finds it is in the best interest of
The City's health and welfare to lower the water to the normal water elevation
by means of pumping;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that
1. The Public Works Department is to take the necessary steps to secure
1bpumps, piping, etc. to pump Parkers Lake.
2. The cost of pumping will be paid for from the Sinking Fund which will be
replaced at some future date from the Parkers Lake Outlet Construction
Project.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Council mb r Seibold and upon vote being taken thereon, the
0 owing voted in avor ereo : Mayor Hunt. Councilmembers Hoyt. Neils
and Seibold

Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
