HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-153CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the 19th day of March 19 79 . The following members were present: Mayor Hunt, ounce mil emFe_rHoyt_,_5'eibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: Councilmember Neils t** Councilmember Spaeth _ _ introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-153 AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 79-118 REGARDING CITY OF PLYMOUTH GRANT APPLICATION TO HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR INCLUSION IN THE URBAN HENNEPIN COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT APPLICATION. WHEREAS, Council Resolution No. 79-118 authorizes submission of the City of Plymouth grant application to Hennepin County for inclusion in the Urban Hennepin County Community Development Block Grant application in accord with the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974; and, WHEREAS, said application was for the City of Plymouth's Year V participation in the housing and community development plans and programs, and was based upon an estimated entitlement of $125,000: and, WHEREAS, Hennepin County has informed the City that the final established entitle- ment amount is $129,748; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that it should, and hereby does, direct the administrative staff to prepare and submit an amendment to Resolution No. 79-118 for the City of Plymouth's Year V participation in the housing and community development plans and programs for expenditure on the following projects in the respective dollar amounts: ACTIVITY PROGRAM AMOUNT 1. Comprehensive Planning $ 24,748 2. Direct Benefit Program for Low/Moderate Income Housing Assistance -- Land Write-down 75,000 3. HRA Rehabilitation Program 30,000 TOTAL $ 129,748 The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Seibold , and upon vote being taken thereon. the following vote In favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmember Hoyt, Seibold and Spaeth Ine following vote against -or asta ne one Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and a opte , rrtt rer ***
