Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a reqular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
. 5th day of March , 1979 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Tteils and Spaeth
The following members were absent: Counci Imember ei o .
Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 138
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE 1979 M.T.C.
PASSENGER WAITING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Transit Commission has initiated a project for
the installation of some 125 passenger waiting shelters in the Metropolitan
Area, and
WHEREAS, various metropolitan area sites have been evaluated and priortized, and
WHEREAS, one Plymouth site at the location of 36th Avenue North and Lancaster
Lane has received authorization for installation by the M.T.C. before
January 9, 1980, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of providing Plymouth commuters with
facilities to encourage mass transit useage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does:
I. Authorize the Mayor and City Manager to enter into a passenger
waiting shelter cooperation agreement for financial participation,
2. that the Mayor and City Manager are further authorized to enter a
passenger waiting shelter permit agreement, C-861
3. the installation of passenger waiting shelter at 36th Avenue
North and Lancaster Lane is hereby approved,
4. a sum not to exceed $500 is hereby allocated to provide the City's
share of funding for the completion of this project.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember N it , and upon vote being taken thereon, the
following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils
and Spaeth
