HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-033CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Council meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a don t e 8th day of Januar 1979 . The following members were 10 present: Mayor Hunt, Counci members Hovt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: None CouncilmemberSpaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 79-33 APPROVING FACILITY USE PRIORITIES FOR 1979 WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth schedules and maintains certain sports facilities for youth as well as adults; and WHEREAS, the use of facilities has been maximized whereby parks, schools and church facilities within the City are being used; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has been able to accommodate facility needs and demands without restricting usage by and/or to any group; and WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department is at a point where it can not provide the additional facilities required; and WHEREAS, staff and the Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission recommend that user groups be notified that facilities for 1979 will be based upon 1978 participation rates and that no additional facilities will be available, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that staff be directed to notify each user group that facilities for 1979 will be based upon 1978 participation rates and that no additios.al facilities will be available. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the 0 ow ng vote n avor thereof*. Mayor Hunt, Council member Hoyt, Neils. Seibold and Spaeth ine following vote against -or asta.ne ; None , Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly possed and adopted,
