HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1979-001CITY OF PLYMOUTH Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a Special Council meeting of the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the ® Sth day of January , 19 79, The following members were present: Mayor FTUET, LOunci mem ers oyt; Teils, Seibold and Spaeth The following members were absent: None Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION N0, 79-1 DENYING REGUIDING, REZONING AND PRELIMINARY PLAT REQUEST BY t11C COMBS - KNUTSON ASSOCIATES ON BEHALF OF "SJH INDUSTRIAL PARK" AT THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF XENIUM LANE AND PLYMOUTH CREEK (A-856) WHEREAS, McCombs -Knutson Associates on behalf of "SJH Industrial Park" has requested approval of reguiding, rezoning and preliminary plat at the southeast quadrant of Xenium Lane and Plymouth Creek; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request and recommended denial; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that is should and hereby does, deny the request of McCombs -Knutson Associates on behalf of "SJH Industrial Park" for the following reasons: 1. The ordinance requirements for information and analysis as to the General Flood Plain District have not been satisfied to determine whether the area can be used as proposed. 2. The proposed industrial development would intensify the traffic generation in an area where the impact of traffic is a major concern. The planned alignment of County Road 61 serves as the boundary between thE. com- mercial and industrial guiding; now that a more specific alignment is known, allowing for four industrial parcels south of the road. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Neils , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following vote n faYor thereof., Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and C.., �� u Ine Toiiowing votes against or abstained; Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly
