Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a special meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, N'innesota was held on the
27th day of November , 1978 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Counci mem ers Hoyt, Neils, Seibold and Spaeth
The following mem ers were absent: None
Courcilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78- 797
RECEIVING REPORT AND CALLING HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS
PROJECT NO. 905
FERNBROOK LANE - COUNTY ROAD 6 to HIGHWAY 55
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolution of the Council, adopted June 12, 1978, a report has
been prepared by Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc. with respect to
the improvement of Fernbrook Lane from County Road 6 to Highway 55, the extension
of Cheshire Lane southerly to 25th Avenue and the improvement of existing Cheshire
Lane; by the installation of a 9 ton bituminous street with concrete curb and
gutter and including full grading, gravel base, bituminous surface, all necessary
drainage facilities, sanitary sewer, watermain and all necessary appurtenances, and
WHEREAS, said report was received by the Council on November 27, 1978
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA:
1. The Council will consider the improvement, of such street and utility
improvements in accordance with the report and the assessment of benefit(I
property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to
Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended)
at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $785,595.00.
2. A Public Hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 18th day
of December 1978, in the Council Chambers of the City Public Works Building
at 14900 23rd Avenue North at 7:30 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed
and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law.
3. An alternate design for the southerly extension of the proposed median at
Highway No. 55 shall be prepared prior to the Public Hearing.
4. The City Council Assessmen�; Committee shall review the method of assessment
prior to the Publi: Hearing.
5. The project shall also include the upgrading of existing Cheshire Lane to
an urban cross-section.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Spaeth , and upon vote being taken thereun, the
following vote in favor t.ereo Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hoyt, Neils,
Seibold and Spaeth
The following voted against or abstained: None
Whereupon the Resolution was declared duly passed and adopted.
