R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-341
R ESOLUTION A PPROVING 2021 F IREFIGHTER C OMPENSATION P LAN
AND P AYMENT FOR F IREFIGHTER D ISABILITY I NSURANCE P REMIUM
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended the establishment of 2021 pay rates for paid-on-call
firefighters; and
WHEREAS, the city manager has recommended payment of one-half of the premium for a disability
insurance policy.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that the 2021 Firefighter Compensation Plan and payment for Firefighter Disability Insurance
Premium is approved as follows:
1. Rates of pay for paid-on-call firefighters and officers
2020 PROPOSED
TITLE HOURLY RATES
Firefighter $12.73--$15.61
Fire Lieutenant $15.61 + $1.50 = $17.11
Fire Prevention Specialist $15.61 + $1.50 = $17.11
Fire Captain $15.61 + $3.00 = $18.61
Fire Assistant Chief $15.61 + $6.00 = $21.61
2. Payment of up to $3,500 to be made toward one-half of the premium for disability insurance.
