HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2020-327 C ITY OF P LYMOUTH R ESOLUTION N O. 2020-327 R ESOLUTION A PPROVING P AYMENT N O. 5 AND F INAL FOR THE B ASS L AKE P LAZA L IFT S TATION I MPROVEMENTS (SS180001) WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth as the owner and Pember Companies, Inc. as the contractor, have entered into an agreement for the Bass Lake Plaza Lift Station Improvements. Said agreement was approved by the City Council on August 13, 2019; and WHEREAS, the Engineer has certified his acceptance of the work and approval of the final request for payment. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the original contract amount between the owner and the contractor was $373,165.00, the revised contract amount was $363,815.00, and value of the work to date is $363,815.00 and is approved. The final contract amount is $9,350.00, or 2.6% below the original contract amount. 2. That the work performed by the contractor for the Bass Lake Plaza Lift Station Improvements and certified to the Council by the engineer as acceptable, being the same, is released from the contract except as to the conditions of the performance bond, any and all legal rights of the owner, required guarantees, and correction of faulty work after final payment. 3. Request for Payment No. 5 and Final in the amount of $19,140.75 to Pember Companies, Inc. for the Bass Lake Plaza Lift Station Improvements is approved and the Finance Manager is authorized and directed to pay the same forthwith. 4. The total project cost was $429,363.74 which includes the lift station rehabilitation ($363,815.00) and design and administration ($65,548.74). BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that funding for this project shall come from the Sewer Fund ($429,363.74). APPROVED by the City Council on this 8th day of December, 2020.
