Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a soecial meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was held on the
23rd daffy of October , 19 78. The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt Councilmembers Hoyt.
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
move 's adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-718
RESOLUTION RETROACTIVELY CONFIRMING THE MEMBERSHIP OF LOREN A. SCHIEBE
AS A MEMBER OF THE PLYMOUTH VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT.
WHEREAS, Loren A. Schiebe was a member of the Plymouth Volunteer Fire
Department on January 1, 1969, and
WHEREAS, Loren A. Schiebe is making contributions to the Police and
Fire fund of the Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA)
and,
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is matching such contributions in accordance
with State Public Employees Retirement Association Statutes, and
WHERAS, such Statutes require that the City Council of the City of
Plymouth to confirm Mr. Schiebe's membership in the Police and Fire Fund
by confirming his membership on the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department
as of January 1, 1969;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does confirm ti,a membership
of Loren A. Schiebe in the Plymouth Volunteer Fire Department on
January 1, 1969; and
FURTHER, that Mr. Schiebe has served on the Fire Department from that date
until this, and should be included in the Police and Fire Fund of the
Public Employees Retirement Association.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly secondea by
Councilm m r Oovt 'and upon vote being taken thereon, the
