Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a, regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was field on the
16th day of October , 19 78 . The following members were
present: _Mayor Hunt, Councilmembers Hovt Neils and Spaeth

Councilmember Spaeth introduced the following Resolution and moved
its tion:
RESOLUTION NO. 78-687
AUTHORIZATION TO PROCEED WITH REFORESTATION
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has received a $10,000 Community Development
Block Grant for reforestation; and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota anticipates reimbursing reforestation costs
up to a rate of 28%; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has budgeted $20,000 in the 1978 Environmental
Services Fund (206-206-810) for reforestation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems reforestation an important function due to
the loss of shade trees through shade tree diseases;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA that:
1) Council directs staff to implement a reforestation program on the selected
sites as proposed.
2) Staff be authorized to continue with reforestation procedures as may be
required by Housing Urban Development for receipt of Community Development
Block Grant Funds.
3) Staff be authorized to continue with reforestation procedures as may be
required to obtain State of Minnesota reimbursement for reforestation
expenditures.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded
