RESOLUTION No. 2009-241
A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE THE
FEASIBILITY REPORT AND COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT WITH THE
BASSETT CREEK WATERSHED MANAGEMENT COMMISSION AND TO
ORDER THE IMPROVEMENTS FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
PLYMOUTH CREEK STREAMBANK RESTORATION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 8128
WHEREAS, a feasibility report has been prepared by the Bassett Creek Watershed
Management Commission in reference to the Plymouth Creek Streambank Restoration
Project; and
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Agreement has been prepared by the Bassett Creek
Watershed Management Commission in reference to the Plymouth Creek Streambank
Restoration Project; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the restoration of severely eroded
streambank and realignment of approximately 1,500 feet of Plymouth Creek to reduce the
flood potential to adjacent properties, prior to the creek's discharge into Medicine Lake; and
WHEREAS, said agreement was approved by the Bassett Creek Watershed
Management Commission on September 17, 2009; and
WHEREAS, the Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission will reimburse
the City for the cost of the improvements, up to $965,200 per the terms of the agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
I. The Council hereby approves the feasibility report and the Cooperative
Agreement as presented; and
2. Orders the Plymouth Creek Streambank Restoration Improvements, City Project
No. 8218; and
3. Authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute the agreement on behalf of
the City.
