RESOLUTION 2009-238
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO
ALLOW "LIMITED MOTOR VEHICLE SALES OR LEASING AS A PRINCIPAL OR ACCESSORY
USE" WITH A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT IN THE 1-1 (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL) AND 1-2
(GENERAL INDUSTRIAL) ZONING DISTRICTS (2009053)
WHEREAS, Clearview Automobiles, LLC has requested an amendment to allow limited
motor vehicles sales or leasing as a conditional use in the I-1 (Light Industrial) and I-2
(General Industrial) zoning districts; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a
duly called public hearing and recommends approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the
Zoning Ordinance text amendment, based upon the following findings:
1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan,
and with the City's ordinances and policies.
2. With the proposed conditions of approval, the use would be consistent with the
purpose of the I-1 and I-2 zoning districts and would be compatible with the other
allowable uses in the I-1 and I-2 districts.
