Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota was a don t e
2nd day of October , 1978 . The following members were
present: Mayor Hunt, Counci members Hoyt, Nells, Seibold and Spaeth
The following members were absent: None
Councilmember Seibold introduced the following Resolution and
moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION 78- 636
APPROVING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND CONCEPT PLAN - FORSTER MEAT PACKING COMF)ANY (A-611)
WHEREAS, Forster Meat Packing Company has requested a conditional use permit for
retail sales and outside storage at the plant site within the I-1 zoned portion of the
property at 11510B County Road 9; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the petition which was submitted per
Council direction and has recommended approval;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH,
MINNESOTA that it should and hereby does approve, the request of Forster Meat
Packing Company for a conditional use permit for retail sales and outside storage
activity within the I-1 district and a development concept plan dated September 20,1978
indicating existing and future uses, subject to the following:
I. Maintenance and supplementing of the landscaping to the west and to the north
for purposes of buffering and screening.
2. Future site improvements and plant expansion shall be per the concept plan
dated September 20, 1978.
3. Consideration to be given during future plan reviews of expanding parking,
if necessary, to the south rather than to the west; acknowledging that an
adjustment of the zoning boundary lines may be required.
The motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was duly seconded by
Councilmember Neils andupon vote being taken thereon, the
